📖 History & Formation
The Junior Youth (JY) Ministry of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG) is a pivotal generational group dedicated to nurturing the spiritual and personal development of adolescents aged 12 to 18 years.
Originally functioning under the Young People’s Guild (YPG), the Junior Youth Ministry gained autonomy following the 10th General Assembly of the PCG in 2010. This transition allowed the JY to tailor its programs specifically to the needs of teenagers, fostering a more focused approach to youth ministry.

The JY Ministry aims to:
- Promote spiritual growth through Bible study and prayer.
- Encourage moral and social development aligned with Christian values.
- Foster a sense of community among young believers.
- Equip members to be active participants in church and society.
The group’s motto, “Show Yourself Approved of God” (2 Timothy 2:15), encapsulates its commitment to guiding youth towards a life that reflects Christian principles.

- National Level: A coordinating committee established to unify and guide JY activities across the country.
